This optional badge helps parents and caregivers quickly identify each other’s vaccination status for simplified hiring.
For families, this badge provides an easy way to find vaccinated sitters, nannies, and caregivers. For caregivers who only want to work for vaccinated families, this badge provides the information they most care about. See our FAQ for full details.
Who’s Getting Vaccinated?
According to our recent survey of more than 1,000 parents and caregivers, 80% of parents and 62% of caregivers intend to get vaccinated for COVID-19.
The Vaccine’s Impact on Child Care Hiring
While the majority of those surveyed are getting vaccinated for COVID-19, the vaccine is not a make-or-break when it comes to child care hiring. In fact, 49% of parents said they would hire vaccinated sitters and nannies “whenever possible” and an additional 19% say they would hire a sitter or nanny who isn’t vaccinated. 32% of parents said they would only hire a vaccinated sitter or nanny.
On the flip side, 38% of caregivers surveyed said they would work with families that refuse to get vaccinated and another 30% said maybe. 32% of caregivers said they would only work for vaccinated families.
